D Mike’s Bar & Grill is more than just a place to eat—it’s a story decades in the making. For Mike and Kellie, our journey began years ago at the same restaurant we’re proud to bring back to life.  

Kellie practically grew up here, tagging along with her mom, who worked at the Alexandria location when Kellie was just a little girl. Later, as high schoolers and college students, Mike and Kellie both found themselves working at that very restaurant. Between serving tables and flipping burgers, they didn’t just build work experience—they built a connection that grew into something much more.  

Fast forward to life as a nurse (Kellie) and a businessman (Mike), and fate stepped in just as the Alexandria location of D Michael B’s was about to close. With Mike Daniels fitting naturally into “D Mike’s,” it felt like the stars aligned. They couldn’t resist the pull to return to where it all started—to save a place that held so many memories, not just for them but for the community.  

Today, D Mike’s Bar & Grill is *legacy inspired* and *community infused*—a celebration where the past inspires the present and where every visit feels like home. Whether you're stopping in for some of our signature *brews and canoes* or gathering with friends and family for a lodge favorite, we aim to create a space where tradition and modern flavor come together.
